Senior Defence Security Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Defense Engineer to strengthen cyber defense across Timo and Kredivo Group. This is a hands-on role covering threat detection, incident response, endpoint and network security, vulnerability management, threat hunting, and security automation.

You’ll work closely with Kredivo Group’s regional Cyber Defense team and Timo’s local IT and Engineering teams to protect our banking platform and customers.

Responsibility

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents

• Manage security controls including EDR, SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, DLP, and firewalls

• Drive vulnerability assessment, patch management, and remediation

• Implement CIS security hardening across endpoints, servers, networks, containers, and cloud environments

• Conduct threat hunting and investigate suspicious activities and IOCs

• Improve threat detection rules using threat intelligence and emerging attack techniques

• Automate repetitive security operations and workflows

• Support security reviews and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SBV, and MPS

Qualification

• 4+ years of Information Security experience, with hands-on experience in at least two areas: SOC, Cyber Defense, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, or Vulnerability Management

• Strong hands-on knowledge of WAF, CDN, Firewall, SIEM, EDR, and Cloud Security

• Solid understanding of network, Windows/Linux, VM, container, and cloud security

• Experience with vulnerability and patch management and CIS hardening

• Knowledge of modern attack techniques such as MITRE ATT&CK

• Professional working English for regional collaboration

• Strong ownership and ability to stay calm during security incidents

• Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CHFI, GIAC, or Cloud Security certifications

• Experience in Fintech, Banking, or other regulated industries is a strong plus
