Senior Denim Designer

We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Denim Designer to join a highly successful and fast-paced fashion business. This role focuses on creating trend-led, commercial denim collections, working with major UK high street retailers.

As a key member of the design team, you’ll take ownership of developing innovative denim ranges across jeans, jackets, waistcoats, skirts, and shorts, combining strong creative direction with a commercial understanding of the market and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop trend-led, commercial denim collections in line with seasonal trends and customer briefs.
• Take ownership of the design process, from initial concepts and trend research through to product development.
• Create detailed technical packs and communicate design specifications clearly to overseas factories.
• Liaise regularly with suppliers and manufacturers in Bangladesh, ensuring smooth product development and production.
• Attend customer meetings, present collections, and build strong relationships with key retail accounts.
• Undertake competitive shopping and trend research to identify new opportunities and inspire future collections.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring ranges meet customer expectations and critical path requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Denim Designer or Senior Denim Designer
• Experience designing for UK high street retailers is essential.
• A strong eye for emerging trends, with the ability to translate these into commercially successful products.
• Excellent knowledge of denim washes, fabrics, fits and finishes.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and overseas suppliers.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and experienced in producing clear, factory-ready technical packs.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Additional Information

• Location: Manchester or Leicester.
• Hybrid working, offering a mix of office-based and remote working.
• Travel will be required as part of the role, including visits to suppliers and factories overseas, as well as customer meetings and trend research.
