What they need
Role & responsibilities
Design and develop food/grain-processing machinery (mills, sifters, conveyors, elevators) from concept through production and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Machine assembly design, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks/AutoCAD
- Apply GD&T, tolerancing, and design calculations for shafts, bearings, gearboxes, drives
- Sheet-metal and fabrication design for manufacturing
- Collaborate with shop floor on build, testing, and troubleshooting
- Improve existing machine designs for efficiency and cost
Requirements:
- 5-10 years in mechanical/machine design (food-processing, grain-processing, or material handling preferred)
- Strong SolidWorks + AutoCAD; FEA/ANSYS a plus
- Proven experience with BOMs, manufacturing drawings, sheet metal, and assemblies
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
