Senior Design Checker

Perform independent checking and verification of piping design and drafting deliverables. Ensure compliance of all piping drawings with project specifications, client requirements, engineering practices, and applicable standards. Review and check: Piping General Arrangement Drawings (GA) Plot Plans Equipment Layout Drawings Piping Isometrics Pipe Support Drawings Tie-In Drawings Material Handling Drawings Fabrication Drawings Piping Plans and Sections MTO Deliverables As-Built Drawings Verify piping layouts for: Accessibility Maintainability Constructability Operability Safety Requirements Ensure piping routing complies with project design philosophies and established engineering practices. Review nozzle orientations, equipment interfaces, access clearances, and maintenance requirements. Verify consistency between P&IDs, 3D models, line lists, and piping drawings. Check pipe support locations and support arrangements in coordination with stress and structural requirements. Identify design discrepancies, clashes, omissions, and engineering inconsistencies. Review interdisciplinary interfaces involving: Structural Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation HVAC Telecom Systems Participate in model reviews and design review workshops. Ensure quality assurance requirements are met before drawing issue. Support resolution of design comments received from clients, project engineers, and construction teams. Monitor compliance with project drafting and modelling standards. Provide technical guidance to designers and junior checkers. Assist Lead Piping Engineers in maintaining drawing quality and engineering consistency.
