Senior Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong background in MW-scale and utility-scale solar projects to join our growing renewable energy team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage design activities for MW-scale and utility-scale solar PV projects
• Develop, review, and approve engineering designs, drawings, layouts, and technical documentation
• Conduct technical and structural assessments for large-scale solar installations
• Review site conditions and determine appropriate design solutions for ground-mounted and other solar structures
• Evaluate solar system requirements, equipment layouts, structural loads, and constructability
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Structural, Construction, Procurement, and Project Management teams
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
• Review engineering calculations, material requirements, and technical specifications
• Provide technical solutions to design and construction issues
• Support projects from design development through construction and commissioning

About you

• Licensed Engineer preferred
• 5+ years of engineering/design experience
• Strong experience in solar PV system design and engineering
• Proven experience handling MW-scale and utility-scale solar projects is REQUIRED
• Experience working on large-scale solar farms / ground-mounted PV projects
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, electrical, and solar design coordination
• Experience in reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, layouts, and technical specifications
• Proficient in relevant engineering and design software
• Strong knowledge of project design standards, construction requirements, and technical documentation
• Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
