Senior Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong background in vacuum conveying systems. The candidate will be responsible for product design, development, engineering drawings, component selection, testing, and design optimization to meet customer requirements and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop vacuum conveying systems, pneumatic valves, and related automation components.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering documentation.
• Design vacuum conveyors, material conveying systems, pneumatic control systems, and valve assemblies.
• Perform component selection based on pressure, vacuum level, flow rate, material characteristics, and operating conditions.
• Develop designs for pneumatic valves, valve manifolds, actuators, fittings, and associated components.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical specifications, and product design records.
• Coordinate with production, assembly, purchase, quality, and sales teams to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.
• Analyze design issues, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct design reviews and support prototype development, testing, and product validation.
• Optimize product design for cost reduction, performance, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
• Review customer requirements and develop suitable technical solutions for customized applications.
• Guide junior design engineers and ensure timely completion of engineering projects.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of vacuum conveying technology and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in pneumatic valve design, valve assemblies, and component selection.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of vacuum pumps, blowers, ejectors, filters, pipelines, and conveying components.
• Understanding of pressure drop, airflow, vacuum levels, and material conveying principles.
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Experience Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Prior experience in vacuum conveyors, pneumatic valves, pneumatic components, or industrial automation equipment is preferred.
• Experience in customized machinery design and manufacturing support will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
