Senior Design Engineer/ Design Engineer

We are seeking several proactive and skilled Design Engineers (Civil) to join our client's growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-profile civil infrastructure and building projects across Hong Kong, managing technical submissions, multidisciplinary design interfaces, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize detailed civil design drawings, engineering calculations, and formal technical submission packages.
• Lead design interface coordination across structural, geotechnical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Evaluate contractor design packages, temporary works proposals, and shop drawings for constructability, safety, and compliance.
• Manage and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs), design changes, and ongoing construction-related technical queries from site teams.
• Ensure all design deliverables strictly comply with contract specifications, local statutory requirements, and relevant design codes.
• Support regular design progress reporting and maintain direct liaison with clients, consultants, statutory bodies, and site personnel.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of solid civil design experience focused on infrastructure projects or large-scale building developments.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, along with standard civil design calculation tools.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong design codes, statutory submission standards, and authority approval procedures.
• Excellent technical writing, presentation, and coordination skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese).
• Corporate Membership of HKIE (MHKIE) or equivalent professional body (e.g., CEng MICE) is a distinct advantage.
