Senior Design Engineer (Engine & Genset)

Designation: Associate Technical Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop engine components, engine accessories, genset-related systems, structural steel parts, and sheet metal components using Creo 10.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation in accordance with design standards.
• Support product design activities from concept through design release, validation, and manufacturing.
• Perform design modifications, engineering change implementations, and drawing updates based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sourcing to ensure design feasibility and timely project execution.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, and technical evaluations to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Engineering Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 9 to 12 years of experience in product design, drafting, and engineering of engine components, engine peripherals, gensets, structural steel, and sheet metal products.
• Strong proficiency in Creo 10 for 3D modelling, assembly creation, detailing, and drafting.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes, GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Experience in engine application engineering and related product development activities.
• Strong CAD modelling and complex assembly management skills.
• Good communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working in a product development environment and engineering change management processes.
• Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and across all phases of the product design lifecycle.
• Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic project environments.
• Strong problem-solving ability and mindset.
