Senior Design Manager

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineering leader manage a team of 15+ Manager/Engineers for a growing Solid material handling equipment manufacturing and Turnkey project company. The role will be responsible for design, engineering, team building, project engineering support, product development, design quality and coordination with manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead & manage the Mechanical Design Engineering team of 15+ Manager/Engineers.
• Plan, allocate and monitor Mechanical design activities for multiple projects.
• Review concepts, 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs and engineering calculations.
• Ensure designs are technically sound, manufacturable, cost-effective and as per customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Projects, Procurement, Quality, Sales and Installation/Commissioning teams.
• Provide technical support for complex engineering solutions and solve design-related issues.
• Support new product development, product improvements and standardisation.
• Establish and maintain design standards, engineering practices, checklists and documentation controls.
• Improve engineering productivity, design quality, delivery timelines and reduce rework/design errors.
• Guide engineers and develop second-line technical leadership within the department.
• Coordination with Sales, Project Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Installation/Commissioning and customers.

Candidate Profile:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks/3D CAD, engineering calculations, BOMs, manufacturing processes and product data Management is desirable.

• 15–30 years of relevant experience, preferably in material handling equipment’s like Belt conveyors, Chain conveyors, Tripper conveyors, Steep Angle Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Pneumatic conveying, Vibro-feeders, Screw Feeders, Rotary valves, Screens, All type of Manual/Pneumatic/Electrical Gates, Dust collection system, etc
• Minimum 5+ years in a Design Manager /Senior Manager/AGM / Design Head-type role.
• Experience in managing a 10+ member design engineering team.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals combined with manufacturing understanding.
• Ability to lead projects, make sound engineering decisions and interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Should be a hands-on technical leader with strong people-management and execution capabilities.

Pay: From ₹1,500,000.00 per year
