Senior Design Manager - Core Experiences

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Design Manager - Core Experiences to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape the design direction for core product experiences, with a particular focus on how AI-native interactions come to life across the platform. The position will partner closely with Product and Engineering to influence strategy early, raise the bar for design craft, and help create experiences that are both adaptive and consistent. In addition, this leader will mentor designers, strengthen team culture, and contribute frameworks that improve how the organization designs at scale.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $228,700 – $285,900 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the interaction philosophy for AI-native experiences across products
• Set high-quality standards for product design within the organization
• Lead and develop a team of designers, fostering creativity and risk-taking
• Shape product strategy by collaborating with Product and Engineering early in the process
• Engage closely with design work, using feedback and prototyping to enhance concepts
• Raise the overall design craft by sharing frameworks and insights

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of leadership experience in product design or a related field
• Ability to define interaction philosophies that incorporate AI-native and adaptive features
• Strong visual and interaction design foundations with exceptional product judgment
• Proficient in recognizing and nurturing exceptional design talent
• Experience in designing interaction systems that span multiple screens and features
• A collaborative partner with Product and Engineering teams, balancing design with strategic inputs
• Independently operate with confidence, developing perspectives amidst uncertainty
