Senior Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, OS, and system-related issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity issues.
• Manage IT support requests through ticketing tools, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation.
• Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware allocation, tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical support for CCTV, biometric attendance/access-control systems, and related infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot antivirus/endpoint security solutions and assist with firewall-related activities.
• Handle user account management, access permissions, system configurations, and security-related issues.
• Perform regular system health checks, preventive maintenance, updates, and patch management.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, access provisioning, asset allocation, and recovery.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and proactively identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, networking, security, and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, incidents, configurations, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining IT policies, security standards, backup procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior IT/Desktop Support team members.
• Ensure timely resolution of critical IT issues with minimal disruption to business operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, System Administration, or IT Infrastructure Support.
• Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, peripherals, printers, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu/Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of CCTV, biometric systems, access control, and related IT infrastructure.
• Good understanding of antivirus/endpoint security, firewall concepts, patching, and system security.
• Experience with user account management, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, and access control.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently handle L2/L3 technical issues and infrastructure-related problems.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers.
• Good documentation and IT process management skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide timely support in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and take ownership of IT support operations.

Pay: ₹8,800.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
