Why This Role Matters:

As a key member of our digital technology team, you will help shape and enhance the online retail experience across Asia by delivering scalable, reliable, and innovative e-Commerce solutions. Through a customer-focused mindset, strong collaboration, and a scientific, data-driven approach, you will support our O+O (Offline + Online) business model and contribute to seamless shopping journeys that ultimately put a smile on customers’ faces.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver high-quality digital and e-Commerce solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Design, develop, test, document, and support backend applications for scalable online retail platforms.
• Collaborate closely with UX, QA, product teams, and business stakeholders as part of our collaborative way of working.
• Build and enhance microservices-based applications using cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes and Quarkus.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues through a structured and data-driven approach.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, and event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and deployment processes using Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our O+O customer experience across Asia.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in software development, IT programming, or e-Commerce platform delivery.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and aspect-oriented programming principles.

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with message queuing technologies such as Apache Kafka.

• Hands-on experience with Maven or Gradle for build automation and dependency management.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes in containerized environments.

• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance business needs and technical excellence.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities supported by a scientific, data-driven approach.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural O+O retail environment while managing competing priorities.

• Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
