Job Title: Senior Developer - Java Fullstack (4 open positions)

Location: Kinshicho, Sumida-ku, Tokyo

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Salary: Negotiable

Job Description:

We are hiring four (4) Senior Developers with Java Fullstack development experience to work on an Insurance project in Tokyo.

Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Build secure business logic and microservices using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot
• Frontend Development: Design responsive user interfaces with Angular or React
• API Integration: Develop and expose robust RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to bridge the frontend and backend
• Database Management: Design schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data via relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL options (MongoDB)
• Deployment & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and support CI/CD deployment pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Jest) and participate in peer code reviews
• Should have worked in Agile lifecycle and have good understanding on how Scrum teams operate

Requirements

• 7-9 years of work experience
• Good hands-on knowledge of Java (JDK 8/11/17+), JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Knowledge of Core Java, Spring MVC, Java Spring Boot, API Microservices, Python
• Experience in Angular or React.js
• Working knowledge of Database – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server
• Working experience in GitHub, Tomcat and Maven
• Experience with AWS Services: S3, ECS, RDS
• Exposure and participation in Agile / Scrum environment
• Japanese language preferred, not essential

• Visa sponsorship available for candidates currently based in Japan.
