Senior DevOps Engineer & Change Driver - Embedded Systems

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer & Change Driver to modernize the development environments of a team building safety-critical embedded software in the defense industry. You will join an agile software team responsible for its development environments and act as the team’s main point of contact with its IT infrastructure partner.

Your main focus will be hands-on migration and modernization of the team’s toolchain: moving from ClearCase to Git, from legacy issue tracking to Jira/Confluence, and from older Jenkins setups and scripting languages to modern CI/CD pipelines. You will also propose solutions, shape a roadmap, set requirements for and follow up on the infrastructure partner’s work, coach the team in CI/CD, and explore opportunities for AI/ML in the development process.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience working with modern, automated development environments
• Proven experience in hands-on change management, driving teams through new tools and ways of working
• Experience in one or more of: development, testing, or optimization of embedded software systems
• Extensive experience working in mixed environments (Linux, Unix, Windows)
• Strong understanding of complex IT infrastructure and IT solutions
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to pass a Swedish security vetting (säkerhetsprövning) in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act

Nice to Have

• Extensive experience with Jenkins and automated build/release environments
• Experience with environment-as-code and pipeline-as-code
• Experience with migrations from ClearCase to Git
• Strong scripting skills across multiple languages
• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Pascal or Ada
• Experience with safety-critical standards (aviation, automotive, medical)
