Senior Devops Engineer

Role overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for designing, building, hosting, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud systems. You will also bring solid AWS knowledge to support multi-cloud strategies and drive best-in-class engineering practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Architecture

• Design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure on GCP using GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub.
• Architect and manage multi-cloud setups bridging GCP and AWS workloads with a focus on security and cost optimization.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure high availability SLAs across all services.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain security best practices including IAM policies, VPC configurations, firewall rules, and encryption.
• Apply zero-trust network architecture principles across cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001; manage audit logging and SIEM integrations.
• Manage secrets, certificates, and keys using Secret Manager, KMS, and HSM.

CI/CD & Automation

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi with version-controlled configuration.
• Automate operational tasks, runbooks, and routine maintenance through scripting (Python, Bash, Go).

Observability & Reliability

• Monitor, log, and trace distributed systems using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Configure alerting and incident response workflows with PagerDuty or equivalent tools.
• Drive SRE practices including SLO/SLA definition, error budgets, and post-incident reviews.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and support production deployments.
• Communicate infrastructure trade-offs and recommendations to engineering, product, and leadership teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal DevOps standards and documentation.
