Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Production Support Engineer to join a highly technical environment supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure.

This role combines DevOps, systems administration, production support and application engineering . You will work with complex, distributed systems, troubleshoot production issues, automate infrastructure and operational processes, and contribute to long-term improvements in platform stability, scalability and reliability.

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of overall IT experience , ideally across application development, production support and DevOps, who is comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems and driving them through to resolution.

What you'll be working with

You should have hands-on experience with several of the following technologies and areas:

• Linux / Systems Administration: Red Hat Linux
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
• Container Orchestration: Kubernetes
• Observability & Monitoring: ELK, Prometheus, ITRS
• Databases: Oracle, Cassandra, Hazelcast, PostgreSQL
• DevOps & CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, Rundeck
• Messaging & Integration: Kafka, ActiveMQ, iMFT, FileID
• Programming & Scripting: Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, Java, AngularJS, Spring

What we're looking for

• You are a confident and articulate communicator who can work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
• You have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and are able to investigate complex production issues at a deep technical level, identify their root causes, and design and deliver sustainable, long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.
• You understand enterprise technology environments and are comfortable working across applications, infrastructure and DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in the following areas will be an advantage:
• Release management processes and tools
• Broader enterprise infrastructure, including networking, servers, load balancing and storage
• Financial services / banking domain
• Red Hat certifications

Background

• 8+ years of professional IT experience , including experience in application development, production support and/or DevOps
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field
• Evidence of continuous professional development and willingness to expand technical expertise
• Red Hat certifications are preferred
