Senior Devops Engineer

Job Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining the infrastructure and delivery systems that support reliable software development and production environments. You will work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, deployments, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.

You will work closely with software engineers and technical teams to improve deployment processes, infrastructure reliability, system performance, and operational efficiency. The role requires someone who can work independently, understand complex technical environments, and make sound engineering decisions.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience and at least 3 years of hands on DevOps Engineering experience. You should have strong practical experience managing production infrastructure and working across different technology stacks and cloud environments.

You should be technically strong, hands on, and comfortable solving complex infrastructure and deployment problems. You should also be able to communicate technical decisions clearly and participate confidently in technical discussions with U.S. based clients and engineering teams.

Who This Role Is For

This role is for an experienced engineer who understands both software development and the infrastructure required to run software reliably at scale. You should be comfortable moving beyond simply maintaining existing infrastructure and actively improving how systems are built, deployed, monitored, and operated.

What You Will Own

• Design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.
• Build and manage reliable CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automation processes.
• Manage containerised environments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or comparable tools.
• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and improve system reliability and performance.
• Work closely with software engineers to improve development, deployment, security, scalability, and operational processes.
• Maintain strong practices around version control, access management, infrastructure security, logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve engineering efficiency.

What You Need to Have

Non-negotiable

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years of hands on DevOps Engineering experience.
• Advanced English (C1+) with confident spoken communication for U.S. based client interviews and technical discussions.
• Strong hands on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, Git, and automation.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, system architecture, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and production infrastructure.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex production issues and working across different technology stacks and environments.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and participate confidently in technical interviews, client discussions, solution reviews, and engineering assessments.

Strong advantages

• Experience working with multiple cloud platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or similar platforms.
• Experience with cloud security, DevSecOps, infrastructure optimisation, or distributed systems.
• Experience working with U.S. based clients or distributed engineering teams.
