Senior Director, Technical Program Management

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Technical Program Management to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This leader will guide a highly technical portfolio of programs that bring advanced AI and ML capabilities into production for customer-facing and internal experiences. The role will partner closely with engineering, research, and business leadership to translate complex strategy into disciplined execution. It also will shape program management practices, develop TPM talent, and help drive reliable outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $294,100 – $335,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive AI and ML platforms that support a real-time information strategy
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and business leaders to bring AI initiatives to production
• Lead discussions with senior leadership to guide technology decisions
• Mentor and grow fellow Technical Program Managers
• Simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
• Ensure high-reliability, real-time experiences for customers
• Expand the TPM discipline within the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 9+ years managing technical programs
• Experience designing data-intensive solutions with distributed computing
• 5+ years building distributed systems using cloud architecture, preferably AWS
• 5+ years delivering large, complex programs with cross-functional teams
• Experience in regulated environments
• MBA or Master's in a related technical field preferred
