Senior .NET Developer – Digi Rythu Bazaar

About the role

We are hiring a Senior .NET Developer with 6-10 years of experience to own backend development for Digi Rythu Bazaar, a government-sector digital marketplace that connects farmers directly with consumers. The platform runs live Android and iOS apps backed by .NET APIs.

The next phase includes B2B bulk ordering for wholesale buyers, a catalogue for organic and natural farming products, and a move toward microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will design, build and scale these services alongside the mobile and web teams. We are looking for resources to work from office all 5 days a week under full-time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs in ASP.NET Core that serve the Digi Rythu Bazaar Android and iOS apps.
• Lead decomposition of the existing backend into microservices and deploy them on AKS with Docker and Helm.
• Build the applications on modular framework in Clean Architecture, Onion Architecture.
• Extend the database schema for sub-variants farming products, including certification, traceability and product attributes.
• Write efficient SQL, stored procedures and EF Core models; tune queries for high-traffic marketplace workloads.
• Integrate payment gateways, SMS/OTP, notification services and government systems (e.g. Aadhaar-based or departmental APIs) securely.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Apply security, audit-logging and data-protection standards expected of government-sector applications.
• Review code, mentor junior developers and set coding standards for the team.
• Work with product owners, mobile developers and department stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.

Required skills and experience

• 6+ years of professional development in C# and .NET, including at least 3 years on .NET 6 or later (.NET 8/10 preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core, Dapper, LINQ, Lambda and dependency injection.
• Solid SQL Server skills: schema design, indexing, stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Exposure to .NET MAUI or Xamarin, or to supporting Android and iOS release cycles.
• Proven experience building and running microservices with Docker and Kubernetes, ideally AKS.
• Working knowledge of Azure services such as App Service, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault, Blob Storage and Application Insights.
• Experience with authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect and role-based access.
• Experience designing APIs consumed by mobile apps: versioning, pagination, caching and offline-friendly responses.
• Familiarity with messaging and caching (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Redis).
• Unit and integration testing with xUnit or NUnit and mocking frameworks.
• Git, code reviews and CI/CD in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Clear communication and the ability to work with non-technical government stakeholders.

Good to have

• Prior work on government, agriculture, e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
• Experience migrating legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET.
• Front-end experience with Blazor for reports and back-office portals.
• Knowledge of API gateways (Azure API Management, YARP), Helm and infrastructure as code (Bicep or Terraform).
• Familiarity with Telugu-language or multilingual content handling.
• Awareness of CERT-In guidelines, security audits and OWASP Top 10.

Qualifications and how to apply

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related field, or MCA.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) are a plus.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
