Senior Dotnet Developer

Scalable Path is looking for a Senior Full-stack .NET Developer to join the team. This is a remote, full-time (40 hours/week) position.

The client is a well-established hospitality and resort management company company, recently becoming the 4th largest operator in its industry in the US. They are transforming how families and travelers vacation, and how great technology supports that mission.

Overview:

A client of Scalable Path's is looking for a Senior Full-stack .NET Developer to join their growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and backend systems using .NET Core MVC, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This position involves full-stack development with an emphasis on scalable architecture, performance optimization, and technical leadership. You'll also contribute to cross-team collaboration, help establish development best practices, and provide mentorship to junior engineers..

The client uses Slack, GitHub, and other tools for collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable web applications using .NET Core MVC and C#.

• Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for high-performance data access and integration.

• Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Architect and maintain backend processes to automate and streamline data movement and transformation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Establish and enforce coding standards, development workflows, and best practices across the team.

• Participate in and lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.

• Mentor junior developers and foster continuous learning within the engineering team.

• Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Contribute to long-term technical strategy and system architecture planning.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET Core MVC for web application development.

• Extensive experience with SQL, including performance tuning and complex query development.

• Strong front-end development skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Solid understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and scalable solutions.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Proven ability to lead projects or technical initiatives from planning through delivery.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.

• Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with team goals and timelines.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in hospitality, travel, eCommerce, or marketplace platforms

Relationships - who you'll be working with:

You will be collaborating with an existing team of developers, designers, and product managers spread across the eastern US and the Americas. The client is in the America/New York (-04:00) EDT time zone.

Expected contract duration:

6-12 months

The client is looking for a 6 month engagement with potential to continue longer if things go well.

Preferred regions:

The client's preference is for candidates to be located in Latin America, Canada or United States.
