Senior Draughtsman

To support the design and project teams by producing accurate HVAC drawings including ductwork, VRV systems, RCP layouts, and detailed sections. The draughtsman ensures precise site-based coordination with other services, contributes to BOQ preparation, and provides drawing documentation necessary for consultant approvals, fabrication, and on-site execution.

1. HVAC Design & Drafting
a) Design and detail complete HVAC systems including duct layouts with airflow and pressure considerations.
b) Create zoning layouts for efficient air distribution and temperature control.

2. As-Built & Section Drawings As Per Site Mark-Up and Against Physical Verification at Site.
a) Prepare and update As-Built drawings reflecting actual site implementation.
b) Develop detailed sectional drawings to assist in installation and compliance.

3. BOQ & Estimation Support
Generate accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for HVAC systems to support estimation and procurement.

4. RCP & Room Data Integration
Create Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs) incorporating HEPA filters, risers, light fixtures, diffusers, and grilles based on room data sheets.

5. Detail Drawing Development
Produce typical HVAC detail drawings including: HEPA units, duct constructions, heater plenums volume and fire dampers, switches, sockets, Grilles/diffusers, and Magnehelic gauge locations

6. VRV System & Drain Layouts

Develop piping layouts for VRV systems and associated condensate drain systems.

7. Client & Consultant Coordination

Attend client and consultant meetings to review drawings, gather feedback, and implement technical revisions.

8. Site Measurement & Validation

Conduct on-site measurements for HVAC and related systems to verify layout accuracy and adjust drawings accordingly.

9. Multidisciplinary Coordination

Coordinate HVAC layout with electrical, cleanroom partitions, and other MEP services to avoid clashes.

10. Fabrication Drawing Preparation Review

Create fabrication-ready drawings for ducting systems and cleanroom elements with accurate quantification and measurements for approval.

Educational Qualifications:
B.E or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Draughtsman.
Certification in AutoCAD or relevant HVAC design software preferred.

Experience:
5-7 years of experience in HVAC drafting within MEP, cleanroom, or industrial projects.
Proven ability to prepare working drawings, site-based revisions, and consultant-approved documentation.

Skills:

Proficient in HVAC design and drafting using AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of ductwork standards, airflow distribution, zoning, and pressure classification.
Ability to coordinate across disciplines (MEP, electrical, civil).
Keen attention to technical detail and drawing precision.
Effective communication and time management skills.
