Having recently completed a major ERP migration programme, the business is investing heavily in its Microsoft technology estate and building a high-performing technology function focused on delivering best-in-class solutions across Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 CE Developer to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering innovative business solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, helping to shape the future of the platform while championing modern technologies including AI, Copilot and next-generation Microsoft capabilities. Reporting to the Development Team Lead / Senior Developer, this role combines hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development and support of enhancements across Dynamics 365 CE, focusing on Sales, Field Service and Case Management.
• Design and deliver complex customisations using C#/.NET, Dataverse plug-ins, custom workflow activities, custom APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, PCF controls and web resources.
• Lead delivery of Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and custom connectors.
• Design and govern integrations using Azure Integration Services, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, architecture options, estimates and delivery plans.
• Lead technical workshops and communicate architectural decisions, risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, standards governance and delivery planning.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex production issues, conducting root cause analysis and driving permanent solutions.
• Improve DevOps, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release processes and environment management using Azure DevOps and modern Power Platform tooling.
• Ensure solutions meet standards for security, scalability, performance, resilience and compliance.
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, Security teams and third-party delivery partners.
• Progressively take ownership of solution architecture across larger programmes of work.
• Champion the adoption of Copilot, AI technologies and modern platform capabilities where appropriate.

Required Skills

• 8-10+ years' experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 CE solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE and Dataverse, particularly Sales, Field Service and/or Customer Service modules.
• Advanced C#/.NET development skills, including plug-ins, custom workflow activities, custom APIs and extension development.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience.
• Extensive experience across the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Strong Azure Integration Services experience, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management and REST APIs.
• Experience designing synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven integrations.
• Proven experience with ALM, DevOps processes, managed solutions, source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 security models and data access architecture.
• Previous experience leading development teams through code reviews, mentoring and technical governance.
• Strong documentation and technical design skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Integration experience between Dynamics 365 CE and ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Builder or related AI solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory or enterprise data platforms.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365 or Solution Architecture.
• Experience working within operationally complex, multi-site or international organisations.

Pay range and compensation package

• Competitive salary: £65,000 - £85,000 Base
