What they need
The (Senior) E-Commerce Manager is a high-impact, revenue-driven commercial leader responsible for hitting aggressive top-line sales targets and maximizing contribution margins for online channels. The role owns the digital storefront, leading performance marketing, promotional strategy, conversion optimization, and stock movement to maximize sell-through and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the online P&L for the website; establish and execute daily, weekly, and monthly trading plans to meet and beat revenue, gross margin, and contribution targets.
- Define agile pricing, promotion, and bundle strategies alongside executive leadership to drive average order value, accelerate sales velocity, and maximize full-price sell-through.
- Identify untapped digital sales channels, high-converting product opportunities, and strategic tactical pushes (flash sales, campaign drops, clearance liquidation) to keep sales momentum consistently high.
- Manage performance marketing budgets across search, shopping, paid social, and retargeting with a relentless focus on return on ad spend, customer acquisition costs, and immediate conversion.
- Direct external digital agencies and media vendors against strict performance KPIs, ensuring maximum output, optimized cost-per-acquisition, and rapid campaign iteration.
- Implement targeted SEO initiatives and direct-response content strategies to drive sustainable, high-converting organic and direct traffic.
- Oversee site merchandising, product ranking, landing page designs, and checkout flows specifically engineered to boost conversion rates and lower bounce rates.
- Leverage loyalty program to drive customer retention, repeat purchases, and win-backs through aggressive segmentations, automated sales flows, and targeted promotional broadcasts.
- Partner with Merchandising, Buying, and Logistics to optimize inventory velocity, fast-tracking slow-moving stock through strategic online promotions and ship-from-store operations.
- Lead, mentor, and set clear performance-oriented KPIs for the e-commerce team, delivering concise weekly trade updates and monthly P&L reviews to executive leadership to drive immediate commercial actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of direct-to-consumer e-commerce experience, with a proven track record of owning and achieving aggressive sales targets for an e-commerce platform.
- Demonstrated success in scaling online revenue, managing media budgets, and achieving strict ROAS and P&L targets.
- Extensive experience managing performance channels and driving external media agencies to hit tight acquisition and return metrics.
- Deep experience in CRM automation and retention strategies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading, coaching, and managing direct reports against concrete sales metrics.
- Highly analytical, commercially driven, and resilient under target pressure with an obsessive focus on conversion metrics and top-line growth.
