What they need

Holloways of Ludlow
Hybrid – Carterton, Oxfordshire
£55,000–£65,000 + bonus

Holloways of Ludlow is one of the UK’s leading online retailers of luxury lighting and furniture. Over the past four years, we’ve grown our online revenue from under £2m to approx £10m, with ambitious plans to reach £20m+ over the next few years.

Online currently represents around 60% of our turnover, alongside our showrooms and contract business.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Ecommerce Manager to take the lead on our online business day to day and work closely with our CEO and wider team to shape the next stage of our growth.

This is a varied and influential role for someone who enjoys bringing together people, ideas and data to deliver great results. You’ll lead a talented team of specialists, have real ownership of ecommerce performance and be encouraged to bring fresh thinking and new ideas to the business.

There’s also a genuine opportunity for the role to develop into Ecommerce Director within the next two to three years – or sooner for the right person.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee day-to-day ecommerce trading, including weekly performance, promotions, merchandising and range performance
  • Lead, support and develop our team across catalogue, site merchandising, organic search and performance marketing
  • Manage paid media across Google and Meta, with a strong focus on profitability as well as ROAS
  • Improve conversion and AOV through thoughtful testing, site search, UX and product data
  • Play a key role in our full website redesign planned for 2027
  • Use data and insight to help shape ecommerce priorities and support informed decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with our CEO and wider teams to identify opportunities and turn ideas into action
  • Understanding and managing the links between our various ecommerce and order management systems. A string technical understanding of systems and processes is essential. Knowledge of Linnworks in particular would be enormously helpful.
  • Co-own our AI strategy with the CEO to help automate day to day processes and use the power of AI to unlock business and customer understanding. As a minimum you are already very comfortable building AI tools and artifacts to perform analytical tasks, build business dashboards etc,.

What we’re looking for

We know great candidates don’t always tick every box. If you have strong ecommerce experience and feel you could make a real contribution to Holloways, we’d love to hear from you.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience managing a Shopify ecommerce business with multi-million-pound online revenue
  • A track record of improving ecommerce revenue, margin and overall commercial performance
  • Good working knowledge of Google Ads, including Performance Max, Search and Shopping, as well as Meta, GA4 and email/CRM. A firm understanding of nor just ROAS but POAS.
  • Experience leading, supporting and developing a team, including colleagues working remotely
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to bring out the best in people
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of margin, returns, profitability and customer lifetime value
  • Curiosity about the future of ecommerce and an interest in exploring new technology, ideas and ways of working

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience within premium retail, home, interiors or high-end ecommerce
  • Experience developing and motivating teams and creating a positive, supportive working environment

What we offer

  • £55,000–£65,000 salary
  • Bonus linked to ecommerce margin
  • A clear opportunity to progress towards an Ecommerce Director role
  • Direct access to the CEO and the opportunity to have a meaningful influence on our ecommerce strategy
  • Plenty of scope to introduce new ideas and shape how we work
  • Hybrid working. Time spent at our new warehouse hub and offices in Carterton, Oxfordshire, home working and sometime in London.
  • Workplace pension
  • 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays
  • 5 paid sick days
  • Staff discount
