Senior EDI/Business Integration Developer

As a Senior Developer at Persimmon we look for you to not only support our client’s environment but add vision and insight into their direction. With Integration as the key focus our senior level personnel are required to fully understand the client’s infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements. In addition Senior level will require project management skills to provide both feedback to the customer and Persimmon management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor & Maintain assigned client’s EDI environments
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Communicate with client and internal Persimmon stakeholders on situation status as necessary
• Work with clients to understand business integration & EDI requirements that they need to address
• Maintain detailed documentation and process flow of all EDI processes within client system
• Evaluate user requests for new and modifications to client’s systems for EDI
• Perform all administrative tasks for such systems including backup & recovery, health maintenance, user & security administration, performance optimization, diagnostics
• Review, analyze, document business requirements, systems capabilities, system gaps, process improvements
• Review, analyze, document system level requirements including technical capabilities, data integration specifications, database designs, system context, QA/testing plans
• Review, analyze, document opportunities for improvement
• Build, configure, map, setup and perform basic administration of systems including some development
• Perform gap analysis and recommend best-in-class options for improvements in performance, resilience and/or capacity
• Responsible for the health of all related systems
• Develop software programs including custom code, enhancement or modifications to existing systems or interface programs
• Analyze, document and design programs that enhance existing systems or add new functionality
• Oversee and perform testing, deployment and development environment management including databases, operating systems, security and networks
• Operate as Project Lead on assigned accounts and coordinate all customer meetings and project management updates

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining EDI systems.
• Knowledge of EDI standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and EDI translators.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with business users and co-workers.
