Senior EHS Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior EHS Specialist to join a leading regulated manufacturing organisation in Cork.

This position will have a strong environmental compliance focus and would suit someone with solid experience working within a pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain compliance with Irish environmental legislation and site environmental requirements

• Manage activities associated with the site's Industrial Emissions (IED) Licence

• Liaise with the EPA, local authorities and other regulatory bodies as required

• Support environmental monitoring, reporting, investigations and compliance programmes

• Provide guidance on Dangerous Goods and environmental regulatory requirements

• Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems

• Participate in audits, inspections, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support CAPA and investigation activities relating to EHS/environmental issues

• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other site functions

Requirements:

• Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, EHS or a related discipline

• 5+ years' relevant EHS/environmental experience

• Strong knowledge of Irish environmental legislation and regulatory requirements

• Experience working with EPA/local authorities

• Experience with Industrial Emissions Licence compliance

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations

• Good working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

• Previous experience within pharma, medical device or another regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable
