Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Lead electrical system design for HV/MV/LV substations, switchgear, transformers, solar systems, MCC and factories electrical systems. Prepare and review technical documentation, lead technical discussions with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and factories throughout the project life cycle, and provide technical leadership to the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lead electrical system design for HV/MV/LV substations, switchgear transformers, solar systems, MCC and factories electrical systems
• Prepare and review SLDs calculations, specifications, layouts, drawings, and engineering documents
• Independently lead technical discussions and coordinate engineering activities with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and factories throughout the project life cycle
• Evaluate technical requirements and develop engineering solutions in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
• Prepare technical proposal perform project cost estimation and identify technical risk
• Perform FAT, site surveys, troubleshooting and technical support during project execution and commissioning
• Provide technical leadership and support to the engineering team and contribute to project planning and engineering schedule control

About you

• Bachelor's degree in electrical power engineer or related field
• At least 4-5 years of experience in Electrical System Design/Estimation/Sales within the power electrical field, HV/MV Substation, and Transformer
• Good command in spoken and written English
• Product knowledge of HV GIS, HV/MV Switchgear & Transformer, LV MDB/MCC/VVVF, and Protection relays
• Skills in AutoCAD operation for Single-line diagrams and ability to understand Equipment Layout drawing/Schematic diagram
• Knowledge skills in Electrical Design Software (ETAP) and Monitoring system (SCADA/CSCS) would be an advantage
• Professional engineering license and driving license
• Excellent problem-solving and management skills
