Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Thailand team based in Bangkok. The successful candidate will lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for data center and other mission-critical projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and international stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering delivery for data center and building services projects.
• Review project requirements and coordinate with Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Client teams throughout all project phases.
• Develop complete electrical system designs from concept through detailed design stages.
• Prepare electrical design calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Prepare Basis of Design (BOD), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cable schedules, load assessments, and equipment sizing calculations.
• Design power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding and earthing systems, lightning protection systems, cable containment systems, and equipment layouts.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations including:

1. Electrical load calculations
2. Transformer sizing
3. Generator sizing
4. UPS sizing
5. Capacitor bank sizing
6. Cable sizing and routing
7. Short circuit analysis
8. Voltage drop analysis
9. Earthing and lightning protection calculations

• Review and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Support construction-stage activities, technical reviews, RFIs, and site coordination when required.
• Ensure designs comply with local Thai regulations, international standards, and client specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• Proficiency in electrical engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities and commercial buildings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly to clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Experience leading engineering coordination meetings and design reviews.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Thailand is preferred.
• Minimum 8-15 years of experience in electrical design engineering for building services, mission-critical facilities, data centers, or large-scale commercial developments.
• Previous experience with Data Center projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working within an engineering consultancy environment is advantageous.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Native in Thai and fluent in English.
