Senior Electrical Design Engineer

🚀 About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team responsible for the design of electrical systems for complex Oil & Gas and industrial projects. The ideal candidate shall be independent in Load list definition, Equipment sizing, SLD development, Electrical equipment Data sheet and technical specification preparation and shall be able to technically evaluate vendor offer. Furthermore, he will be able in cable sizing and schedule preparation, electrical system installation design (MTO preparation, cable routing definition, etc.), power distribution, earthing and lighting system detail design.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of MV/LV power systems, grounding systems, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs and protection relays.
• Strong knowledge of international electrical standards and industrial plant design (IEC,EN, ATEX).
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Power studies – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor
• Starting, Relay Protection Setting & Protection.
• Strong knowledge of earthing and lightning calculation.
• Technical Bid Evaluation & Vendor Follow UP for main electrical equipment (MV& LV switchgear , MV/LV power transformer, AC & DC UPS).

🎓 Requirements

• Software Knowledge Mandatory: AutoCAD, Software for Electrical System sizing (i.e. ETAP or other software for electrical system sizing), Dialux.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to interface directly with clients and company management.
• Ability to interface Vendor.
• Ability to report project status, risks and resolutions.
• Ability to train and mentor engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of project execution phases (Prefasibilty, FEED Detail Design).
• Ability to work independently on assigned engineering tasks.
• Availability to travel/work abroad if required.
