Senior Electrical Draftsman

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Draftsman to join our MEP team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing detailed electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for commercial, residential, and industrial projects in the UAE. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and have a strong understanding of UAE electrical standards and MEP coordination.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.

· Develop layouts for power, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and low-current (ELV) systems.

· Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), panel schedules, load schedules, cable routing and cable tray layouts.

· Coordinate electrical drawings with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines.

· Prepare builders' work drawings, sleeve drawings, and equipment installation details.

· Update drawings based on consultant comments, site instructions, and design revisions.

· Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and company drafting standards.

· Support Project Engineers and Site Engineers with technical drawings and documentation.

· Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

· Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Requirements

· Diploma or Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· 5–8 years of total experience as an Electrical Draftsman

· Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory)

· Microsoft Office

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems including Power Distribution, Lighting Systems, Earthing & Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, ELV Systems, Cable Containment Systems

· Knowledge of UAE electrical standards and authority regulations (DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, ADDC/TAQA, DCD) is an advantage.

· Good understanding of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation.

· Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

· Experience working on commercial, residential, high-rise, hotel, healthcare, and industrial projects.

· Familiarity with MEP coordination and BIM workflows.

· Ability to interpret electrical design drawings and specifications accurately.

· Knowledge of material take-offs and quantity estimation is an advantage

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
