Senior Electrical Engineer

• Lead the electrical engineering and technical coordination for smart home and residential automation projects from design development through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and review electrical and ELV designs, schematics, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load schedules, control wiring, and system layouts.
• Coordinate the integration of smart home systems, including lighting control, motorised curtains/blinds, HVAC controls, access control, security systems, audio-visual systems, sensors, networking, and other home automation systems.
• Work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and overseas technical teams to translate project requirements into practical electrical and smart home solutions.
• Lead site coordination, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and smart home systems.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, equipment specifications, and installation details to ensure compliance with design intent and project requirements.
• Identify technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions while ensuring system reliability, functionality, and maintainability.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Manage technical submissions, testing and commissioning documentation, as-built drawings, operation manuals, and project records.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with Singapore electrical regulations, applicable codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate project schedules and technical interfaces to ensure works are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Provide technical support to clients and project teams after installation, including troubleshooting, system optimisation, and user training.
• Keep up to date with emerging smart home technologies, automation platforms, IoT solutions, and electrical systems.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in electrical engineering, smart home automation, building services, M&E, ELV, or system integration.
• Strong experience in residential projects, luxury homes, smart home systems, or integrated building automation is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, ELV systems, control systems, and building services.
• Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design software, or other relevant engineering/design tools.
• Familiarity with smart home protocols, automation systems, control panels, sensors, networking, and system integration is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Singapore electrical standards, regulations, and site safety requirements.
• Proven ability to lead technical coordination and manage multiple stakeholders and project interfaces.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and technical teams.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese is preferred for communication with overseas technical teams and suppliers.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and site personnel.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of technical matters, and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
