Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Responsible and owned control system and electrical schematic design for machinery, ensuring optimal performance that aligned with specified requirements and complies with international standards. Leveraging extensive experience and expertise to lead and contribute to the creation of robust and cutting-edge control systems which directly contribute to the success of the organization products and the advancement of technology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems including wiring diagrams, component selection, and control systems for safe and reliable automation machinery, ensuring alignment with project timelines, customer specifications, and cost-efficiency standards.
• Develop and implement scalable methods and standardized procedures for electrical design and system integration.
• Take full ownership of the Bill of Materials (BOM), performing periodic reviews to ensure data accuracy, precision, and procurement readiness.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers by providing technical support, fostering knowledge sharing, and creating professional development opportunities.
• Facilitate design reviews, providing critical feedback and technical insights to optimize electrical system performance.
• Research and integrate new components, advanced sensors, and innovative integration methods to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Evaluate system feasibility and propose architectural improvements to enhance overall machine functionality.
• Work in a team environment by maintaining proper communication and cooperation among cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing) to ensure every project is done according to objective and schedule.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements by applying international standards (SEMI, ISO, IEC, UL, CSA, etc.) to design, documenting and managing the certification process.
• Prepare technical documentation (Work Instruction, Checklist, User Manual, Datasheet) and reports to support the product development and manufacturing process.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design including knowledge of circuit design principles with a strong track record of successfully delivered projects.
• Proficiency in automation design and relevant CAD software.
• In-depth knowledge of power distribution, panel design, analog and digital signal handling, motion control and communication protocols such as Modbus, Serial, Ethernet, EtherCAT, etc.
• Proficiency in hardware testing methodologies including but not limited to validation, debugging and characterization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems.
• Leadership skills and ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in electrical engineering.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts.
