Senior Electrical Engineer, Ground Systems Team

We are partnering with a fast-growing hardware company to hire a senior electrical engineer to lead the design of high-reliability embedded systems for its field-deployed infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Own the electrical design of sensing and control architecture for volume production, from requirements and prototype through schematic, layout and validation
• Define the architecture of next-generation products and make key design decisions with a high degree of autonomy
• Run trade studies and drive down technical risk
• Work closely with reliability, mechanical, embedded and systems teams from concept through manufacturing, certification and deployment
• Diagnose field issues, develop rapid mitigations and turn the learnings into better designs
• Travel occasionally for supplier visits and field validation

What You'll Bring

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years designing and testing embedded electronics hardware (microcontrollers, sensors, communication networks)
• Track record developing electronics for critical systems in energy, transportation or medical devices
• Experience with mixed-signal and high-speed digital PCB design, microprocessors, Ethernet, power electronics and motor drive
• MCU and digital interface design experience (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART)
• Proficiency with Altium, SPICE or similar tools
• Familiarity with UL, IEC and other safety standards
• Strong lab skills (oscilloscope, power analyzer, LCR meter, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
