Job Summary

Food Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of industrial and commercial facilities from concept through construction. This position will work closely with multidisciplinary design and project teams while providing technical leadership and guidance to supporting engineers and drafters.

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical building systems design experience. Experience designing food production, pharmaceutical, or other sanitary facilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, utilities, refrigeration, and fire protection systems is also beneficial

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design effort for building projects and coordinate electrical requirements with other members of the design team.
• Design electrical distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Perform progress and final design reviews.
• Participate in estimating electrical systems.
• Review and evaluate electrical bid packages.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in field/site visits.
• Provide technical direction and supervision to supporting engineers and drafters.
• Support the continued development and growth of engineering talent within the department.
• Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related four-year degree.
• Professional Engineer**(PE) license**.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in electrical system design for industrial and/or commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15-25%.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
