What they need
Company Description Mbroh Engineering, Inc. provides planning, engineering, design, and construction management services for water and wastewater plants, industrial facilities, ports, transit systems, airports, and commercial complexes. The team combines deep expertise in electrical, instrumentation and controls (I&C), SCADA, automation, security design, and transportation services to ensure facilities operate effectively as integrated systems. Mbroh’s dual focus on design and on-site construction management offers clients strong quality assurance and quality control, lower-than-average change orders, and cost and schedule efficiencies. The firm is committed to delivering projects that successfully move from concept through construction to reliable, long-term operation.
Role Description This full-time Senior Electrical Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design and analysis of electrical power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, transportation, and commercial projects, including power distribution, motor control, and equipment specification. Responsibilities include preparing drawings and technical documents, performing calculations and studies, reviewing submittals, and supporting SCADA, I&C, and automation-related electrical needs. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring junior engineers and designers, and engaging with clients to understand requirements, present design solutions, and resolve technical issues. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also support construction services by answering RFIs, participating in site visits, and verifying that installed systems meet design intent, safety standards, and applicable codes.

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, Electricity, and Electrical Design for industrial, municipal, and commercial facilities.
- Proficiency in Power Systems analysis, including short-circuit, load flow, and protective device coordination.
- Experience with Power Distribution design, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, and related equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain is preferred.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with design and analysis tools commonly used in electrical engineering (e.g., CAD platforms, power system modeling software).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage priorities, and travel to project sites as needed.
