Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license and a strong background in industrial systems. This role has direct responsibility for engineering quality, design decisions, and stamped deliverables, and is ideal for someone with 4+ years of experience, a passion for practical problem-solving, and the ability to guide projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering calculations, load analysis, and system sixing for electrical power distribution, lighting, and control systems
• Review, approve, and seal engineering designs, drawings, and calculations in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Develop technical specifications for equipment and installation
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met
• Conduct and document site visits, inspections, and as-built verifications as needed
• Provide technical leadership and final review of engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (ABET-accredited)
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama (required) or the ability to obtain reciprocity/comity; additional state licensure strongly preferred
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in industrial or heavy facility environments
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, and control systems design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar) is a plus
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing, including continuing education requirements
