Your new company is an international multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice founded over 35 years ago. They have since delivered over 11,000 projects in 15 countries, with their multidisciplinary services offering being a key focus of the practice. Their Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability, Public Health, Environmental Engineers and Ecologists provide expert advice to a diverse range of clients in all sectors of the economy.

Following a recent increase in project wins, they are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in their Dublin office to ideally work across their portfolio of data centre projects in Ireland and Europe.

Your New Role

• Lead design and specification of electrical engineering solutions for buildings to current regulations and design standards.
• Working directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
• To design electrical systems for buildings as part of an integrated project team.
• Lead Pre-Construction activities including, design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, sub-contracts, etc.
• Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.
• Provide off-site technical support to construction teams.

What You Need to Succeed

• Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services & Design.
• Third level qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment.
• Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards.
• Experience in Dialux & Amtech.
• Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction.
• Proactive, with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
