Senior Electrical Engineer (ACMV / M&E LTA Projects)

About the Role

Our M&E MNC client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee LTA electrical site works, with a primary focus on ACMV electrical installation, coordination, testing and commissioning.

You will manage daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, project specifications and completion milestones.

Up to $8500 + up to 3 months VB

HQ location: Commonwealth, Singapore

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and coordinate the implementation of ACMV electrical systems, LV/HV power distribution and switchgear.
• Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, load calculations and protection coordination to support installation and commissioning requirements.
• Oversee ACMV electrical installation works, including power connections, control wiring, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), switchboards and distribution boards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams to resolve technical issues and electrical/mechanical interfaces.
• Plan and monitor daily site activities, subcontractor manpower and material deliveries to meet project milestones.
• Lead electrical testing and commissioning, and coordinate inspections, power turn-on and system handover.
• Ensure works comply with applicable EMA requirements, relevant Singapore Standards (SS), IEC standards and project specifications.
• Support the technical evaluation of equipment, materials, vendors and subcontractors.
• Review subcontractor progress claims and support verification of completed site works.
• Maintain site safety documentation, testing records and as-built drawings, and coordinate defect rectification before handover.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to site teams to support capability development.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.

• At least 6 - 10 years of relevant electrical site engineering experience in M&E construction projects.

• Practical experience in ACMV electrical installation, site coordination, testing and commissioning.

• Experience in MRT, LTA infrastructure projects is required

• LEW (Licensed Electrical Worker) licence or Professional Engineer registration would be an advantage.

• Familiar with electrical panels, power distribution, control wiring and connections serving ACMV equipment.

• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and coordinate installation requirements with other services.

• Experience supervising subcontractors, coordinating suppliers and monitoring site progress.

• Able to resolve site issues independently and work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
