Senior Electrical Engineer III–IV – Building Systems

Salary: $110,000–$160,000+ depending on experience & location

The Opportunity

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to add an experienced Electrical Engineer III–IV to its growing building systems design team.

This is a remote opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in MEP/building systems consulting who wants exposure to technically challenging projects across sectors including Federal, Healthcare, Commercial and Mission Critical facilities .

You will work alongside experienced engineers and designers, taking responsibility for electrical design, documentation and coordination while collaborating with internal project teams, architects, consultants and clients.

Responsibilities

You will support the design and delivery of electrical building systems across projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing electrical designs, system layouts and construction documentation
• Producing technical specifications and system narratives
• Performing electrical calculations and supporting equipment selection
• Using Revit and AutoCAD for system layout, coordination and drawing production
• Supporting electrical power distribution, lighting and associated building systems design
• Coordinating designs with other engineering disciplines and external consultants
• Participating in QA/QC reviews
• Supporting project schedules, budgets and resource planning
• Responding to RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins and Addenda
• Supporting construction administration and field investigation activities as required
• Producing detailed field inspection reports when required

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Approximately 3.5–7+ years of electrical engineering experience within an MEP/consulting engineering environment
• FE/EIT required
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
• Strong Revit experience
• Experience with AutoCAD / AutoCAD MEP
• Experience using electrical design and calculation software
• Building systems / MEP electrical design experience
• Experience with Federal, Healthcare, Commercial and/or Mission Critical projects is highly desirable
• LEED AP is advantageous but not required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
