Senior Electrical Engineering (Data Center Engineering)- True IDC

Key responsibilities

1. Design and develop electrical systems and solutions specifically tailored for data centre environments, including power distribution, backup systems, and cooling infrastructure
2. Conduct comprehensive electrical load calculations, capacity planning, and feasibility studies for new and existing data center facilities
3. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
4. Manage and maintain electrical infrastructure including uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, distribution panels, and related equipment
5. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise downtime
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, IT specialists, and facilities management to optimise data center performance
7. Ensure all electrical systems comply with Thai electrical regulations, international standards (IEC, IEEE), and data center-specific guidelines
8. Prepare technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports for electrical installations and upgrades
9. Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff and coordinate with external contractors on electrical projects
10. Monitor energy efficiency and implement solutions to reduce operational costs whilst maintaining system reliability

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
2. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years specialising in data center or mission-critical facilities
3. Proven expertise in designing and managing data center electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS systems, and generator management
4. Strong understanding of power quality, load balancing, redundancy requirements, and high-availability electrical systems
5. Experience with electrical design software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
7. Strong communication and project management capabilities, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
8. Professional certification such as a Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
9. Familiarity with energy management systems and efficiency optimisation techniques is advantageous
