Senior Electrical Engineers (Mining & Power Transmission Projects)

Perth, WA | 12-Month Contract | Full-Time

We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Electrical Engineers to support the delivery of two major industrial projects in Western Australia. These opportunities offer the chance to work on large-scale engineering developments across the resources, infrastructure, and heavy industrial sectors.

We are seeking experienced engineers with strong backgrounds in HV/LV power systems, substations, electrical design, and project delivery. Successful candidates will join established project teams and contribute across various stages of engineering, design, integration, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed electrical engineering design for HV and LV power systems.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables, including:
• Single line diagrams
• Schematics and termination drawings
• Cable routing layouts
• Engineering calculations
• Technical specifications
• Design reports and supporting documentation
• Design and develop substations, switchrooms, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct protection studies, fault analysis, and system integration activities.
• Specify electrical equipment and provide technical support during equipment selection.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and design documentation.
• Design and document cabling systems, lighting systems, and lightning protection systems.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering outcomes.

Required Experience

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in detailed electrical engineering design according to Australian standards.
• Strong knowledge of HV and LV power systems, substations, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Experience producing high-quality engineering deliverables and documentation.
• Understanding of electrical system integration and power system studies according to Australian standards.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and industry best practices is compulsory.
• Proficiency with engineering design tools, electrical databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Mining and resources projects
• Materials handling facilities
• Heavy industrial or processing plants
• Energy and power infrastructure projects
• EPCM project environments
• Underground mining projects (advantageous but not essential)
