Senior Electrical Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. This pivotal role involves leading the electrical estimating process for estimating systems, pricing system, accurate estimates, and overall handling the bidding process of the entire company. As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will leverage your extensive electrical industry experience to review customer scopes of work, construction drawings, develop detailed estimates, and manage project budgets from inception to completion. Your expertise will drive project success by delivering precise cost analysis while maintaining compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Meet with and Review customer scopes of work, interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
• Develop comprehensive electrical estimates using estimating software and programs.
• Conduct material cost estimating and pricing, factoring in current market conditions, material availability, and supplier negotiations.
• Manage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the estimating process, implementing cost control measures, and adjusting estimates as needed.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to negotiate contracts, scope changes, and pricing adjustments that benefit all parties.
• Ensure all electrical systems designs comply with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building codes.
• Review construction management plans and coordinate with project managers to align estimates with project timelines and resource allocation.
• Lead efforts in construction site visits to verify existing conditions, review progress against estimates, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of estimating activities, bid submissions, and client communications to support transparency and future reference.
• Responsible for creating a pricing structure/playbook for the service department.

Skills

• Extensive experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry with a strong understanding of electrical systems design and installation processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software
• Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local electrical building codes to ensure compliance across projects.
• Excellent negotiation skills for pricing discussions with suppliers and clients that maximize value while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical blueprints accurately.
• Skilled in cost management techniques including material cost estimating, cost control strategies, and budget forecasting.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to clarify project scope or resolve issues promptly.
• Construction site experience coupled with construction management knowledge enhances on-site decision-making capabilities.
• Familiarity with contracts management including scope of work development, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple bids simultaneously while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This isn't always an office position. Position may require at time to time to meet with clients to obtain information, photos, or anything else to ensure we have the proper information to provide accurate estimates. Driving will be required at times. Copper Pro Services does serve majority of central greater valley, north valley, and west valley. As the company grows, the senior estimator will have the opportunity to create a team around them to help them work more efficiently.

Compensation will be a base salary + commission structure.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
