Senior Electrical Project Manager

KME Services have established a strong reputation in the local Christchurch Electrical and Construction Industry. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeing an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our Christchurch office.

This is a key leadership opportunity for a commercially minded Electrical Project Manager with proven experience delivering large scale commercial construction projects. Working alongside a team of industry professionals, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of a landmark project from planning through to completion.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project delivery including project planning, financial management and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget. Key duties will include:

The opportunity:

• Manage project from conception through to completion
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and deliverables
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with budget, schedule and quality expectations
• Manage project financials including forecasting, variations and cost control
• Interpret and administer contracts effectively
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and tier one builders
• Coordinate labour and materials to ensure efficient project delivery
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly progress claims
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience managing large scale commercial electrical projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery
• Experience working alongside tier one builder
• Excellent financial and commercial acumen
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Exceptional organisational and communications abilities
• A proactive and solutions focused approach
• New Zealand Residency or a valid New Zealand Work Visa already in place
