Senior Electrical Substation Design Project Engineering Manager 3

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Substation Design Project Engineering Manager 3 to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will lead the technical execution of AC power substation projects from concept through delivery, with a strong focus on design coordination, compliance, and stakeholder alignment. The position will serve as the primary technical point of contact across internal teams and external partners, ensuring integrated solutions are developed efficiently and accurately. The work will also support productivity, utilization, and delivery excellence across the engineering team.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $124,500 – $207,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of AC power substation projects
• Serve as the primary technical lead for scheduling and compliance standards
• Develop and oversee key design deliverables such as power diagrams and general layout drawings
• Act as the single point of contact for technical matters among stakeholders
• Drive cross-discipline coordination for integrated substation solutions
• Review and contribute to project deliverables during the sales-to-order process
• Assist in ensuring team productivity and billable utilization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• 8+ years of experience in industrial or utility HV/EHV substation design, or 6 years with a Master's degree
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%
