SUMMARY: A leading marine manufacturer is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join its engineering team. This role is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning and fault-finding of marine electrical systems, while providing technical support to production and driving quality and continuous improvement across vessel builds.

POSITION INFO: Job Description Provide technical support during the installation, testing and commissioning of marine electrical systems Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic faults on vessels Configure, test and commission electrical and electronic equipment Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and process improvements Read and interpret electrical drawings and assist with engineering changes Conduct electrical testing and quality inspections Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives Mentor junior technicians and promote strong engineering and quality standards Skills & Experience 5+ years' experience in a marine manufacturing or marine engineering environment Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, installation and commissioning Proven electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Experience with electrical testing, commissioning and quality control Exposure to PLCs, marine electronics and digital control systems will be advantageous Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills Hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with production teams Qualifications Red Seal Electrician or Mechatronics qualification Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
