About the Role

Transylvania Creations is seeking an experienced Senior Electromechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for themed entertainment, animatronics, interactive props, and special-effects equipment.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering design skills with practical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical integration, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and fabrication documentation.
• Integrate mechanical components with motors, actuators, sensors, and electrical control systems.
• Perform relevant engineering calculations and ensure designs meet technical and project requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical, automation, BIM/CAD, and production teams.
• Support prototyping, fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, safe, and delivered according to project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant electromechanical design experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Good understanding of mechanical assemblies, actuators, motors, sensors, and electrical integration.
• Experience in technical drawings, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in animatronics, themed entertainment, special-purpose machinery, or custom-built mechanical systems is an advantage.
