Brief Intro

An engineering-led aerospace technology business needs a senior power electronics specialist to take ownership of mission-critical hardware, from first architecture decisions through to flight-ready systems. You'll work in a small, high-trust team where your designs move fast from the bench to real-world deployment.

Key Skills

• DC-DC power conversion & topology design
• Analogue control (voltage/current mode)
• Analogue circuit design & electromagnetics
• Magnetic component design
• Power architecture & budgeting
• Simulation, validation & verification
• Altium (or similar) schematic/PCB layout
• EMI/EMC & thermal management
• Li-ion battery & solar power systems
• Engineering leadership & mentoring

Non-essential/Beneficial Skills

• High-speed digital interfaces (USB3, PCIe, MIPI, Gigabit Ethernet)
• Git / structured change control
• FMEA/FMECA & aerospace EMC standards
• DFM / DFT
• Environmental & qualification testing
• Python for modelling/automation
