Summary:

This position is the primary role for the sustainment of C5ISR equipment on Army Vessels.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead the design and development of complex electronic systems.
• Oversee the prototyping and testing of electronic circuits and systems, utilizing advanced testing methodologies and equipment to validate designs and identify areas for optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Identify potential risks and challenges early in the development process, implementing robust mitigation strategies to ensure project success and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and firmware engineers, as well as other stakeholders, to integrate electronic systems seamlessly into overall product architecture and functionality.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and compliance reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in electronic engineering technologies and methodologies, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be detailed oriented and have good oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• This senior position requires an engineering or technical degree with 4 years’ experience working with at least 3 of the following: Navigational Radars, satellite comminution systems, integrated bridge systems, C5ISR equipment, and GMDSS.
• 10 years of experience in electronics can be substituted for the degree requirement.
• This position must have overall system level expertise pertaining to the C5ISR assets installed on Army Vessels/Platforms.
• Must possess and maintain secret security clearance and passport.
• Must service Army Watercraft vessels in locations worldwide.
  Must have an active Secret Clearance.
