About the role

We're recruiting a Senior Electronics Development Engineer to take full ownership of the design and integration of complex electronic systems. You'll lead development projects from architecture through simulation, testing and quality assurance, shaping the electronics architecture behind next-generation audio products.

You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, run technical reviews and mentor a team of junior and professional electronics engineers. This role suits a hands-on senior hardware engineer who wants technical leadership and genuine influence over complex, high-performance products.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the design and integration of complex electronic systems
• Lead development projects, including detailed simulations, testing activities and quality assurance
• Continuously develop the electronics architecture and optimise system integration
• Design complex multi-layer PCBs with multiple power domains and mixed analogue/digital circuitry
• Carry out Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) simulation and analysis
• Drive EMI/EMC and ESD design, pre-compliance and type approval/certification activities
• Run and moderate technical reviews, coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor junior and professional electronics engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team

Ideal profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related field. Alternatively, a completed vocational qualification of at least 3 years with additional qualifications and extensive relevant experience
• Extensive experience developing complex electronic systems
• Proven experience leading electrical system design, including cross-functional coordination and system integration
• Hands-on experience with modern PCB design tools, ideally Altium Designer
• Strong practical measurement experience with oscilloscopes
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into innovative system solutions
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills
• Fluent German (C1 or above) and business-fluent English, written and spoken

Preferred qualifications

• Practical experience with Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) simulation (tool agnostic)
• Experience with EMI/EMC, ESD and type approval or pre-certification
• Experience with spectrum analysers and/or audio analysers
• Measurement automation experience, e.g. Python
• Experience designing with microcontrollers, processors, DSPs or FPGAs
• Experience in audio, wireless or low-power design
• Experience optimising hardware development processes
