🎯 MISSION & SUCCESS METRICS

• The Mission:

  To build a UK-based deep technology company delivering next-generation of optical compute solutions by leveraging the incredible power of holography. Our photonics compute solutions addresses multiple market opportunities from a flexible holographic platform technology.

• Near term:

  Applications of the technology include visual object recognition and tracking for industrial, robotics & defence applications. The bigger opportunity to the application of the technology to next generation AI compute solution in the form of an all optical neural network.

• Optical Neural Network’s dramatically improve performance, energy efficiency, scalability of AI workloads and offers a path to moving AI out of the data centre to the edge of the cloud and into mobile devices.

🛠️ CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead the design and development of the electronic hardware & software systems that enable our optical compute solution
2. Focus should be on power optimisation, miniaturisation and cohesive robust design
3. Software stack, FPGA code & electronics.
4. Embedded software system management.
5. Application software of set up and debugging of system.

Description / Specification

Essential Tech Stack

• A strong understanding and proven experience of the design and development of hardware systems (analogue & digital), ideally with display and video-related electronics.

• Experience of the complete hardware design process, from the writing of requirements and specifications through to the testing and production of new products

• Experience in designing and implementing circuits for optoelectronic device components

• Experience writing and modifying FPGA(VHDL) and microcontroller (C) code to high standard

• Confidence in delivering high quality electronic hardware in a fast moving R&D environment

Essential Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electronic engineering

• 5 years’ experience of developing “high-technology” products from concept design to mass production.

• Proven team building and management experience, able to specify and plan projects and achieve delivery
